Duluth man arrested for attempted robbery

Duluth Police have arrested a 20-year-old from Duluth for attempted robbery.

Authorities responded to the area of 2nd Avenue E and 1st Street around 10:50pm Sunday night. Officers were met with a person with a leg injury from a baseball bat. The victim told police they had been walking when the 20-year-old suspect approached them, demanded money, and hit them with a bat.

Surveillance video captured the incident, which helped officers locate and arrest the suspect. The bat was located and also taken into custody.

The suspect was taken to the St. Louis County Jail, with pending Attempted Aggravated Robbery charges.
