Esko man injured in ATV accident

At approximately 12:41 am Sunday, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 6800 block of Highway 47 in Alborn Township for the report of a single side-by-side accident. A 49-year-old man from Esko had received significant, non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was treated by first responders on scene and ultimately flown by Lifelink to Essentia Health Duluth for his injuries.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, it appears speed and alcohol were factors in the crash. There were no other vehicles or people involved in the crash.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Alborn Fire Department, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Meadowlands Ambulance and Lifelink Medical Air Service.
