Fatal Crash on Highway 23 Carlton County

Saturday, Minnesota state patrol responded to a fatal crash near Holyoke in Carlton County. The crash killed two teenagers; the driver 19-years-old and the passenger 14-years-old.

Police have identified the driver as Kaden James Tuura and the passenger as Aubrey Suzzanne Tuura

Officials say the crash occurred around 1:00am. They say a Volvo station wagon was Southbound on highway 23 when it turned on a curve with poor road conditions. The vehicle then hit ice and lost control.

The vehicle then came to rest off the roadway in the east ditch. Both teenagers in the car died in the crash.
