First ski/snowboard race of season at Chester Bowl on Sunday

The Chester Bowl Improvement Club (CBIC) is hosting the first ski/snowboard race of the 2023 season on Sunday, February 5th.
This will be the 55th year of sponsorship for the Kiwanis Club of Duluth, who has participated in the event since it was a ski-jumping competition.
The public is invited to watch racers on skis or snowboards from 3 to 16-years-old participate in the downhill alpine event which usually draws between 100 and 150 competitors.
Every participant will receive a trophy commemorating this year’s alpine races.
Races are scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, followed by an awards ceremony which will begin when the races conclude.
