Flip Phone Events bringing Drag Brunch up to Ely for the third time

This Saturday, the Twin Cities based Flip Phone Events will be bringing their iconic Drag Brunches up to Ely, Minnesota.

It will be the 3rd time the company has brought drag up to the town since their debut on August 6th 2022. Saturday’s brunch will be Disney themed with an all ages show at 11:00am and a 21+ show at 2:00pm. For Ticket information you can check out Flip Phone Event’s website here.

Executive Director of flip phone events, Chad Kampe says, “It’s a lot like going to Disney World and seeing a Disney Princess or Disney Villain.” Chad goes on to encourage everyone in the Northland to come up to check it out. Claiming it’s a unique experience you most likely won’t see anywhere else.

The shows have also been drawing in members from the LGBTQ+ community from across the region.

“We have people who drive two and a half hours not even anywhere close to the cities, some are even in Canada who come to the drag brunch because they say there is nothing like this where they are,” says Chad.

In regards to the show Kampe says, “It’s one of the best you’ll see in the area, we have high-class performers who have been on Ru Paul’s Drag Race coming, people who have won pageants across the country. So you’ll get to see drag performers who normally don’t get to perform in small towns.”

Saturday’s show includes the drag talent of: Sasha Cassadine (Host) Mercedes Iman Diamond (Ru Paul’s Drag Race Season 11), Domita Sanchez, and Queen Onya.
