Four displaced from Virginia kitchen fire
Kitchen fire displaces four in Virginia (Northland FireWire).
A structure fire was reported shortly after 6 pm on Friday evening in the 900 block of 5th Avenue South in Virginia.
According to the Northland FireWire, the Virginia, Mountain Iron, Eveleth, and Hibbing Fire Departments responded to the scene, quickly containing the fire to an area around a stove in an apartment on the second flood of the four-plex.
Four occupants were displaced from the fire and are receiving assistance through the Northland Chapter of the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.
