Head-on collision injures four in Carlton County

On Saturday at 4:04 pm, the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car crash in Twin Lakes Township at the intersection of County Road 1 and County Road 3.
According to a press release, the driver of the minivan was attempting to turn off of County Road 3 to County Road 1 at a T-intersection. The minivan pulled in front of an SUV that was moving southbound on County Road 1, resulting in a head-on collision.
Four passengers from the minivan and the SUV were transported to area hospitals for injuries sustained in the crash. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
Carlton Fire and Ambulance and the Wrenshall Fire Department assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office.
