High schoolers calculate a win at UWS mathematics meet
The UWS High School Mathematics Meet brought together nearly 70 students from Wisconsin and Minnesota to showcase their mathematical prowess across various disciplines including calculus, geometry, and trigonometry.
Wednesday, UWS hosted more than 70 Minnesota and Wisconsin high school students in their annual High School Mathematics Meet.
Students compete individually and as teams to solve problems in geometry, calculus, algebra, trigonometry probability and statistics.
This year Drummond High School placed 3rd, Bruce High School placed 2nd, and Superior High School placed 1st.
The math meet has been around for 30 years and is hosted by the Mathematic Computer Science Department.
