Highway 61 paving north of Duluth to begin May 28

MnDOT will begin pavement construction on Highway 61 north of Duluth starting Tuesday, May 28. The work will occur north of Superior Street to McQuade Road.

Grading and bituminous mill and overlay on both north and southbound lanes will take place.

As per MnDOT, drivers can expect traffic to be reduced to a single in each direction through mid-July. The median crossovers at Lakewood Road and McDonnell Road will also be closed for short periods of time for culvert replacement.
