K9 assists in drug bust at Hibbing post office

Monday in Hibbing, members of the LSVOTF assisted agents from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and US Postal Inspectors Office with a narcotics investigation.

During the incident, LSVOTF K9 Murphy conducted a sniff of a suspicious package in the local post office. There the K9 indicated the presence of narcotics.

A search warrant of the package revealed approximately 5lbs of methamphetamine.

Two individuals were taken into custody following the discovery.
