Mace Michaels: Wet weather to start the work week

A wet weather pattern will set up across the area to start the work week, leading to several rounds of showers and thunderstorms. Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible the next several days and pockets of heavy rain are possible with stronger thunderstorms. If rainfall is excessive or repeated over the same areas, there is the potential for some localized flooding. Flood watches have been issued for portions of the area, including the Twin Ports.

SUNDAY NIGHT/MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms. Low of 57 and a high of 66. Wind northwest tonight, east Monday 5 to 10 mph.


TUESDAY: Partly sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms. A high near 80. Southeast to southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph, gusts to 25 mph.


WEDNESDAY: Early rain possible, then clearing with a high near 74. West to northwest wind around 10 mph.


THURSDAY: Partly sunny with a high of 73.  Wind northeast to east 5 to 10 mph.


FRIDAY / SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with more showers possible. High Friday 65, Saturday high 67.  Wind east near 10 mph.
