Motorhead Madness down at the DECC

Motorhead Madness is making its return to the DECC this year on March 22nd and 23rd.

Motorhead Madness is making its return to the DECC this year on March 22 and 23. Over 150 unique cars, motorcycles, 4x4s, and other vehicles are spending the weekend on display. Fans of sweet rides will definitely want to check out the new cars at this year’s event.

“55% of our cars are new that haven’t been in the show before. So that’s pretty new actually. So that means a lot of the cars are haven’t been here and they’re new for people to see,” said Mike Podgornik, an owner of the show.

“It’s always fun to walk around and see what people have done to their cars or, you know, how they put them together and restored them,” said Podgornik.

It’s also a good opportunity to connect with others in the car community.

“The car community here is huge. It’s like a big family and there’s all kinds of things going on from import tuners to big trucks, to muscle cars, to classics, antiques, drag racers, autocross racers, people that collect, people that buy and sell, people that invest. So this is a great area if you’re into classic cars,” said Chuck Evans of Poplar, Wisconsin.

Many of these cars come from all over, and with all the new ones at this year’s show, you’ll definitely want to check them out.

The show will run from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturday, and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday. Tickets are $19 for adults, and $6 for children. A portion of the proceeds will go to Northwoods Technical College’s Scholarship program.
