Multiple agencies respond to late morning fire on Lake Vermilion

On October 13th at 10AM, a fire was reported in the 3300 block of Nisen Drive on Lake Vermilion. The fire destroyed a combination sauna and boathouse.
Greenwood Township, Tower, Breitung Township, Vermilion Lake, Cook, Eagles Nest, and Ely fire departments all responded to the scene, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby cabins and protecting a large propane tank from the blaze.
The Tower Ambulance Service also responded to the scene to provide medical assistance; no injuries were reported.
