New facility for Wild State Cider
Local tap house Wild State Cider has expanded its operation to include a new production facility, allowing more guests at their current location in West Superior. This comes just after the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) released its annual employment survey saying there is a 2.3% job growth in Duluth, with the most notable growth in leisure and hospitality.

CEO Adam Ruhland said, “We did about 180,000 gallons of cider last year, so somewhere around a million cans in perspective. We hope to be able to do up to 500,000 gallons in this new facility…The problem with our other facility was that we simply ran out of space for tanks in our space.”
Wild State Cider offers “low intervention ciders… they’re less sweet, and there are fewer chemicals and additives in them.” says Ruhland. The new 60,000 square feet building hosts tall ceilings with room to grow as production continues to increase.
Their location on 2515 West Superior Street also holds a variety of events such as Bingo night, Trivia Night, Plant Parties, and much more. Please visit their website for more information.
