Northern Lights Drone Show to light up skies over Lake Superior

North Shore Scenic Railroad and Fitger’s will be presenting a Holiday Lighted Drone Show over Lake Superior along the Lakewalk Friday and Saturday nights.

“These are the new fireworks,” said Ken Buehler the railroad’s General Manager. “We wanted to bring something brand new to this Holiday Season by offering these nine FREE shows visible from Fitger’s and along parts of the Lakewalk.”

The multi-colored show will feature more than one hundred drones that are computer and GPS controlled to create animated scenes.

There will be four shows on Friday, December 8, at approximately 5:15 p.m., 6:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

There will also be shows on Saturday, December 9, at approximately 4:15 p.m., 5:15 p.m., 6:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

North Shore scenic railroad says the best viewing areas would be from Fitger’s Courtyard and parking ramp.

The shows will be timed based on the arrival of the the North Shore Scenic Railroad’s Christmas City Express.
