October is National Dyslexia Awareness Month

Looking at the resources out there for dyslexia

Groves Learning Organization offers resources for those with dyslexia.

Thomas Edison was one of the brightest minds. And yet, his teacher told his mother he should quit school.

Edison had dyslexia.

Fast forward to now, about 10 million Americans are living with this learning disability.

There are things that can help, including high-quality and early intervention and advanced technologies, according to Groves Learning Organization.

Ellen Engstrom is their Director of Curriculum and explained, “Dyslexia has nothing to do with intelligence. It impedes your ability to learn to read, and spell and write. But it can be very well managed. And difficulty in school does not mean difficulty in life.”

Groves Learning Organization offers help to families. You can get tutoring right in Duluth at the Marshall School.
