Park Point named one of the best beaches in nation

Park Point Beach has been named one of the 25 best beaches in America by Travel+Leisure.

“Located on Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world, Park Point Beach is the world’s longest freshwater sandbar,” explained Travel+Leisure in their write-up. “The beautiful beach and its waves have the feel of an ocean locale. It offers great views of Duluth and Lake Superior and is known for its spectacular sunrises.”

The write-up also highlighted the beach’s nearby playground, barbecue grills, and ball field.
