Public Meeting: West Superior St. reconstruction project design nearly complete
The City of Duluth will host its fifth public meeting for the upcoming West Superior Street reconstruction project on Wednesday, November 13. The meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to view the final layout and ask questions about the project which is scheduled to take place from 2025 to 2028.
The project includes reconstruction of West Superior Street between Carlton and West Michigan Street.

4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
City officials say funding for the project will come from a Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainablility and Equity (RAISE) federal grand, MnDOT IIJA Matching Grant, Municipal State Aid for Streets and Utility funds.
The project includes
- Full reconstruction of the roadway and utilities
- Traffic signal replacement
- Stormwater drainage and infrastructure improvements
- Street lighting replacement and improvement
- Pedestrian improvements
- Multimodal improvements for cyclists and other lightweight human and electric-powered devices
A brief presentation will begin at 5 p.m. Community members are invited to attend the open house at any time. Staff and the design team will be available to discuss the project.
