Safety Notice: Falling snow hazard on Aerial Lift Bridge

The City of Duluth would like to remind residents and the public about hazardous conditions with falling snow and ice on the Aerial Lift Bridge’s walkways.

Lift Bridge operators have reported snow chunks have been falling from the upper sections of the bridge, creating a safety issue on the open walkway. Pedestrians should use caution and be aware that snow and ice may fall onto the walkway without notice.

The bayside walkway was closed to the public late last year, but the lakeside walkway remains open.
