Snowshoeing opportunities open back up at the Minnesota Discovery Center
Despite the unseasonable December, snowshoeing is returning to the Minnesota Discovery Center.
“So this year we are happy to report that we have some great snow and we are going to be able to get those trails groomed for the events coming up at the end of January,” says Development & Marketing Director Jordan Metsa.
Here are the upcoming snowshoeing events at MDC:
1. Wolf Moon Snowshoe Hike on January 25th at 5:30 PM
2. KIDS Discover Snowshoeing Family Day on February 3rd from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM (admissions apply)
3. Snowshoe Adventure Day Hike on February 10th at 1:00 PM
4. Snow Moon Adventure Hike on February 22nd at 5:30 PM
For more information you can check out the Minnesota Discovery Center’s website here.
The center can’t wait to be hosting these snowshoeing hikes again and help people enjoy the winter. Metsa says, “We want people to find an interest in getting outside, being outside. And while they are there, we might as well discover some iron range history. Which is our main goal here at the Minnesota Discovery Center.”
