Spiritwood Foundation 1st Annual Concert

Pat and Donna Surface stopped by GMN to tell us all about the Spiritwood Foundation, which has events that benefit veterans, seniors, and those with Alzheimer’s and dementia. July 15th they are joining forces with Veterans on the Lake for the 1st Annual Spiritwood Foundation Concert, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Veterans On The Lake! Proceeds will benefit Veterans On The Lake, and the Spiritwood Foundation’s programs for seniors and veterans. This is truly a Big Top event – with a giant tent that will house a stage, seating for 350 people – and a great night of music. Rain or shine!

Come Early! At 5:30 a cannon will sound announcing the food served by the American Legion and the VFW – Pulled pork sandwiches and other choices.

The Spiritwood ‘Forget Me Not’ Foundation is an Ely-based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization based in Ely. Donations to the Foundation fund programs for Veterans Homes and assist other non-profits working in Memory Care. Veterans on The Lake is a non-profit 501 (c)(3). Their main focus is serving disabled veterans and their families.
