The Minnesota Mission of Mercy wraps its weekend of free dental care
The Minnesota Mission of Mercy hosted its biennial event providing free dental care services to patients in need. This year’s event was hosted at the DECC in Duluth and saw over 1000 patients throughout the two days.
The event offered a wide range of dental services including cleanings, x-rays, triage surgeries, and more for those in need of those services. The event was run completely by volunteers who donated their time and skill for the weekend.
“We are very fortunate of having Duluth hosting us this year, we have been here before. We are very grateful to our donors, the Delta Dental Foundation is helping us out here, and some signature sponsors. So, I think we have been very blessed,” said Alejandro Aguirre, chair of the MN Mission of Mercy.
Aguirre also explained that the goal of MN Mission of Mercy is to help keep people healthy, even if they cannot afford regular dental care on their own.
The event occurs every other year at different locations around the state. The last time the event visited Duluth was 2015.
