Wisconsin Department of Transportation warning of toll scam

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is warning of a phishing scam, similar to the one seen gaining popularity in Minnesota.
The text would say the person has an outstanding toll that needs to be colleced. If the person does not make the payment legal action could be taken.
In a recent social media post, WisDOT says notably, the state does not have tolls, nor will the DMV ever text you to demand payment for anything.
They say people should not click on the link and instead delete the text and report it.
This is similar to the E-ZPASS scam messages that has been spreading all throughout Minnesota.
Minnesota is part of the E-ZPASS network. Which for a toll, lets drivers throughout the state have access to a fast lane on major state highways for a fee, featured mainly in the Twin Cities Metro. During non-commute hours, the lane is open to all drivers.
Minnesota State officials also recommend people who recieve the E-ZPass scam message to not click on the link, delete the message and report it.
