Multiple injuries reported in four car accident in Hinckley

Multiple agencies responded on the morning of September 8 after an accident involving four cars on I-35, just north of Hinckley.

According to reports, all four vehicles were traveling south on I-35 around 10:40 a.m., when road construction caused the vehicles to stop. A Ford pickup rear ended a Honda pickup, which resulted in a chain-reaction collision with the two vehicles in front of it.

Authorities say the Honda was carrying four passengers, all of which were taken to a local hospital with non-life threating injuries. No occupants in the other three vehicles suffered injuries.

Responding agencies include the Minnesota State Patrol, Pine County Sheriff’s Office, Pine Fire Department, Essentia EMS, Sandstone Fire Department, Mille Lacs Tribal Fire Department, Hinkley Fire Department.
