Minnesota is known as the state of hockey. And for 50 years, the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame has been highlighting so many of the accomplishments on and off the ice.
First timer Mike Kulczyk sure enjoyed his moments checking out all the history. He’s from St. Paul.
“I love it. I think it’s the St. Paul connection, and Herb Brooks. There’s something about moving through that space. I’ve been playing since I was a kid, since we had a rink in our backyard,” Kulcyzk told us.
The Hall has added an exhibit. A big focus is the impressive sled hockey teams and their success.
Doug Palazzari, Executive Director, said, “We really try and keep track of what happened in the past, and celebrate what the game is now.”
You can help them celebrate on Saturday, June 17th. There’s an open house from 11am-3pm, and it’s free and open to the public!
Come meet people like Johnny Mayasich, Buzz Schneider, Scott Sandelin, and Phil Housley.
