8 displaced in Ashland house fire

Wednesday at 5:36 in the morning, the Ashland Fire Department was dispatched to Prentice Ave for a two story single family residential home on fire.

Eight residents have been displaced because of the fire. The home will need extensive repairs before being livable again. The fire department said on Facebook that they will, “pass along information on how to help the family when we can.”

The fire seems to have started in the attic and five people had to be escorted to a neighbor’s home for safety.

No injuries to the family or firefighters were reported at the time. The fire is still under investigation.
