84-year-old Burnett County man found deceased

The Burnett County Sheriff’s Office said a missing 84-year-old was found deceased.

Ronald James Pitts of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, was last seen in Sawyer County on February 6.

“Ronald is from the Grantsburg area and recently missed a doctor’s appointment in Minnesota,” explained the Silver Alert issued. “A welfare check was done at Ronald’s home and he was not there. Ronald’s vehicle is also missing.”

Authorities said Pitts has been having memory issues and dementia symptoms.
