It’s never too early to be prepared for damaging storms. That’s why Northern Tool + Equipment is sharing more about what they offer, during Severe Weather Awareness Week.

Generators come in different models. Mike Surface, manager of Northern Tool, shared, “All the appliances in the home are going to require different wattages. So from your refrigerator and freezer to your air conditioner to even your sump pump, these are all requiring different wattages. So it’s important to get the right size generator for what you want to power.”

Having the proper cords is also important. And he said for safety reasons, it’s important to only run generators outside.

The store also offers a variety of pumps, to help with flooding. “Now is a good time to check your sump pump,” Surface added.

Other tools that can help with clean up include battery operated chainsaws and fans.
