Annie Frisbie sets new course record in the Half Marathon

In her debut Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, 27-year-old Annie Frisbie is the 2024 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon champion, setting a new course record. The Wisconsin native crossed the finish line with an unofficial time of 1:07:32.
Frisbie finished 10th at this year’s US Olympic Marathon Trials. Frisbie competed collegiately at Iowa State and is a teammate of last year’s Grandma’s Marathon champion, Dakotah Lindwurm.
In 2022, Annie Frisbie set what was her personal record of 1:10:14 at the New York City Marathon.
The previous course record for the Half Marathon of 1:09:26, was set by Maggie Montoya. It was Montoya’s debut Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon as well. She was 20 seconds faster than Duluth native Kara Goucher who had held the record since 2012.

There are fun short distance races at the Whipper Snapper race to inspire the next generation of runners!
