Arrest warrants issued for three people in connnection with Duluth homicide
Arrest warrants have been issued for three people in connnection with the homicide in Duluth. 25-year-old Chantel Moose died from a stab wound to the neck at a local hospital on Friday, April 12.
On April 19, Duluth Police Police issued arrest warrants for 34-year-old Darrius Plummer of Canton, Michigan for 2nd Degree Murder without Intent; 26-year-old Trayvon Walters of Duluth for 2nd Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and 26-yeear-old Kimonte Cadge for 2nd Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Cadge’s residence is unknown.
In a press release issued Friday, Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa said the investigation is ongoing.
“Holding these offenders accountable and conducting an extensive and thorough investigation into this tragic homicide was a top priority for our police department,” said Chief Mike Ceynowa. “We hope that the arrest of these three men will bring peace to Chantel, her family, and her loved ones as they are grieving her loss.”

On April 12, officers responded to the 100 block of W 1st Street at around 2:15 a.m. on reports of gunshots and a possible stabbing. When police arrived they say they found Chantel Moose with a stab wound to the neck. She was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead.
DPD’ Tactical Response Team and Drone Unit executed a search warrant at Kingsley Heights for a person of interest. A subject was later located and interviewed. Authorities believe that this was an isolated incident and the that the parties know each other.
This is still an active and ongoing investigation.
