Bicyclist strikes vehicle in Moose Lake
Carlton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle/bicycle accident at the intersection of MN Highway 73 and Park Place Drive, in the city of Moose Lake on Wednesday August 28th around 2pm.
The driver, a 62-year-old, was driving eastbound on Highway 73. The bicyclist, a 17-year-old, did not see the vehicle and could not come to a stop at the intersection.
The bicyclist traveled on to Highway 73 and collided with the passenger side of the vehicle. The bicyclist sustained injuries to his mouth and hands and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet, and alcohol is not a factor.
The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Moose Lake First Responders and Essentia Ambulance
service.
