Biden and Trump projected to win Minnesota primaries
The Associated Press has projected wins for President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump in Minnesota in their respective primaries based on analysis of the vote as of Tuesday evening.
As of Tuesday evening, Nikki Haley has received the second most Republican votes.
Also as of Tuesday evening, “uncommitted” has received the second most Democratic votes.
Rep. Dean Phillips, who currently represents the state’s 3rd Congressional District, received the third most votes as of Tuesday evening.
Once results are finalized, the 39 Republican delegates in the state will be allocated proportionally unless one candidate gets above 80% of the vote, according to the Republican National Committee — potentially giving multiple candidates a chance to pick up delegates.
On the Democratic side, there are 79 delegates to be won.
