Black Label Tattoo celebrates local artists by hosting free monthly pop-up events
Black Label Tattoo & Piercing has been hosting monthly pop-up events to embrace local art. The event will go on until 5 p.m. tonight.
Owner of Black Label, Dick Davis says him as well as the other owners came up with the idea to give local artists a place to showcase their work.
Vendors are not charged to place their booth on the Black Label lot for the events. In addition to local art, there is something for the whole family. Free food, live music and raffles are also on site.
Davis mentions how the event keeps growing, they’ve only been hosting for two months, and he says they already have around 15-20 vendors. The event is free for anyone to attend.
Setting up a booth is free, Davis says not charging people is all in part of building a strong local community.
If you are a local artist looking to set up a booth, you can email Black Label at Blacklabeltp@gmail.com or join their vendor Facebook page.
Davis mentioned they will most likely have another event in early September.
