Black Water Lounge in Duluth to permanently close
A representative with Black Water Lounge has announced that the Duluth lounge will permanently close on Thursday, July 25 after 15 years.
“Times have changed – people’s dining and social habits have shifted – even more so since the impacts of
COVID,” explained Julie Thoreson with the Black Woods Group. “These changes have pushed us to have to make the difficult decision to close a business that is very special to us. However, as painful as closing Black Water is, it allows us the opportunity to continue to grow and focus on our other thriving businesses.”
Thoreson said that Greysolon by Black Woods will remain open.
“We drive tens of thousands of people to our beautiful downtown venue in Greysolon Plaza every year through weddings, social, and corporate events and will remain steadfast in our commitment to growing and supporting downtown – as well as the entire Twin Ports – through our continued investment in Greysolon and our other locally owned restaurants.”
