Canosia Grove excited to be part of Cider North
What started with 25 apple trees now includes 1000. Canosia Grove is growing! They are one of the local cideries that are going to be at the upcoming Cider North on Saturday.
Owner Bob Blair has a passion for brewing, and growing! And this cider, is authentic Duluth.
“We produce all the apples or go to a farm and get all the apples and grind them here and produce the juice to ferment. So it’s really like a branch to bottle thing, what my wife likes to say,” he told us.
They’ll be bringing three varieties to Cider North, and one small special flavor batch.
“There’s a little farm on Rice Lake Road, county land there that has different apples and I’ll go and pick apples there. And I found a variety that I really like, this really red fleshy fruit and it’s got just a great flavor. So we decided to try making about 10 gallons of it this year just to see how it tastes,” Blair said.
They also have a barn you can rent out for parties and weddings. https://www.canosiagrove.com/
