Car drives into the Island Lake near Fredenberg

Authorities were dispatched to a residence off of Bear Island Lake Road for a vehicle that drove into the Island Lake.

Rescue teams responded to the water emergency. Upon responders’ arrival it was determined that the vehicle was unoccupied

Through investigation it was determined that a 17-year-old male driver, sole occupant, had lost control on the wet pavement, due to recent rain. The juvenile male swerved to miss a tree which resulted in the vehicle going into the lake. He was able to exit the vehicle on his own power.

There were no injuries and there were no signs of impairment.
