Career and Tech Ed teachers meet in Duluth at a summit designed just for them
Teachers who focus on the trades got to network and learn together at a summit on Wednesday in Duluth.
Teaching the trades is an important part of the high school scene.
And instructors from across 20+ school districts spent time together on Wednesday in Duluth, at the AFMA Northeast Minnesota Manufacturing CTE Teacher Summit. AFMA stands for Arrowhead Manufacturers and Fabricators Association.
It was at Clyde Iron Works.
Teachers shared their experiences. And industry leaders also spoke. The goal is to close the gap, and connect them.
This is the first time the AMFA has put on this summit.
Hermantown just announced they are getting $100,000 in grants to expand and develop CTE.
