Ridj Parantala had just turned 20 years old when he suffered a seizure and then went into cardiac arrest.

His family said the Greenway graduate had been at the Itasca County Courthouse for jury duty when this happened back in December. He died on December 18th, and was an organ donor.

According to his family, he had a huge heart and was the kindest kid.

Parantala was a wildland firefighter out in Bismark, North Dakota, and a logger in the off-season.

On Tuesday, his family and friends celebrated his young life during a funeral service. It included a fire truck hero’s drive up County Road 7, according to his father.
