Celebrating the new hangar space at the Cloquet Carlton County Airport

A new fixed-based hangar space at the Cloquet Carlton County Airport is something to celebrate.

That’s what stakeholders did on Wednesday afternoon.

Venture North Aviation is leasing the space, and owner Bill Stone weighed in on what it means for them.

“So really, this facility has allowed us to double the size of our staff. And also increases the number of aircraft that we have for training. And we are expanding. A key area is accelerated flight training. So we’re probably one of the larger accelerated flight training operations in the in the upper Midwest,” Stone.

The building has training and office rooms as well.

Stone said they will now be able to expand their maintenance capabilities as well.
