You may have seen some of them as you are scrolling through your facebook feed, or on instagram. Breathtaking photos that make you stop and say — wow!?
Destination Duluth’s purpose is to educate and inspire people about the quality and beauty of Duluth. The hope behind sharing beautiful photos is to help shape the city and region’s positive growth.
On Monday night, Destination Duluth held it’s annual photographers appreciation event.
Jerry Thoreson is the managing director of Destination Duluth. He says the event is to allow the contributing photographers to get together and celebrate their achievements. “Some of our photographers have have had over 4 million views of their content.” he told us. “20 of our photographers have had over a million views, and this is just to say thank you for your hard work.”
Northland photographers go out in all kinds of weather to get these remarkable pictures. Thoreson says without a doubt the people in this room are responsible for thousands and thousands of people coming to Duluth because they see their images and they are just drawn to the lake and to the area.
This is the 3rd annual photographers appreciation gala. Congratulations to all the great photographers who got recognized for their incredible work, and thank you for sharing your remarkable images with the rest of us.
