Cenovus Energy donates $24,000 to CASDA from their flash furniture sale
An early Christmas present for CASDA, from Cenovus.
The energy company donated $24,000 to the non-profit in Superior on Wednesday.
The money is from their flash furniture sale this summer. Cenovus sold desks and other office furniture that contractors had used during the rebuild.
“We as a company really value giving back. That’s why we’ve given out over $600,000 in social investment grants this year in Superior alone,” shared Kate Van Daele, Senior Advisor, Regional Communications for Cenovus.
CASDA leaders are grateful for the support. Executive Director Kelly Berger added, “I just love this time of year, when you see the community come forward.”
She said that they are facing the loss of some grant funding next year, so the timing of this gift is great.
Cenovus employees also wrapped gifts for CASDA clients, as part of the United Way’s Day of Caring.
