Chisholm EMS proud to offer advanced life support services to residents and communities
The Chisholm EMS folks have been busy, as usual. But they are proud to be able to provide even more care, now that they have their part time advanced life support license.
It means their paramedics can administer up to 40 medications and provide higher levels of care on scene.
Before, they were operating with the basic life support license.
“We have a 420 square mile service area,” Tiffany Larson explained. She’s the Director of Chisholm EMS. “When there are traumatic injuries, we’ve had to rely on mutual aid for that advanced care. But now we can provide that, and help neighboring ambulance services as well.”
This is something they worked on with the support of city administration. “We could not have done this without them,” Larson added.
Larson said there are paramedics, EMTS, and EMRs on staff.
This summer, they plan on moving into the new public safety building that’s under construction.
