Chisholm Police investigating animal cruelty case in Buhl

(WDIO)
The Chisholm Police Department is in the early stages of investigating reports of possible animal cruelty in Buhl.
WDIO received a number of tips from concerned residents, and CPD says they understand the community has questions and concerns.
“As with every case we handle, our approach is focused on fact-finding,” said Interim Police Chief James Vukad. “This means we don’t jump to conclusions. We take the time to fully investigate and understand the situation before making any determinations. It’s also important to keep in mind that not all of the facts are known right away. Even those who may have heard or seen things on social media may not have the full picture.”
Chisholm Police are asking everyone to be thoughtful and careful with what they see online.
“We know people care deeply about the well-being of animals, and we do too. That’s why we’re committed to doing a thorough, fair, and responsible investigation. Please bear with us as we do the work that needs to be done.”
CPD says they will share more information when able, as the investigation continues.
