Cloquet protesters participate in “mail-in”

Nationally, one group is taking their concerns about the Trump administration directly to Washington – with the help of a stamp.

The We the People – Cloquet Area Indivisible group participated in a nation-wide mail-in protest of the Trump Administration. Members convened at the Cloquet Post office on the morning of March 15 to turn in “pink slips”.

In a statement, Cloquet Indivisible said they wanted the slips to “send a clear message” to President Trump “reminding him that he works for Americans and letting him know they don’t approve of the job he’s doing on their behalf.”

The Cloquet group says approximately 1,000 slips were sent on Saturday morning.

Nationally, the Indivisible Project says their goal was to send in one million.
