Clothing and connections at maurices for the Survivor Social and Shop event with MOCA

maurices hosts Survivor Social and Shop with ovarian cancer survivors

A look at the great connections made during the Survivor Social and Shop event at maurices on Wednesday.

Shopping can really lift your spirits. And that’s why maurices is proud to host another Survivor Social and Shop event with the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance, MOCA for short.

Survivors and their loved ones enjoyed an afternoon shopping in the sample room at the headquarters in Duluth.

Jen Rogers is one of the survivors. She told us, “It’s really cool, we don’t often get time to pamper ourselves. Here we get to share stories, and pick out some cute clothing.”

maurices leaders tell us health and wellness is one of the pillars they support. “One of the ways we can give back, and make it personal, because you have associates interacting with cancer survivors. We have associates touched by cancer, and that one on one is much more meaningful,” shared Laura Sieger, the Chief Marketing Officer.

MOCA does have plenty of resources for survivors. Here’s more: https://mnovarian.org/

And the major fundraiser in the Northland for MOCA is the Light Duluth Teal Gala, which is coming up again in September. Here’s the link for tickets: https://mnovarian.org/calendar/light-duluth-teal-gala-4/#:~:text=Celebrate%20the%20MOCA%20community%20and,program%20and%20so%20much%20more!
