Cody Buus Invitational Courage Ride helps children facing illness

The Cody Buus Invitational Courage snowmobile ride is prepping to hit the snow for their first ever three-day ride on February 20th to the 22nd.

The Cody Buus Invitational Courage Snowmobile Ride is prepping to hit the snow for their first ever three-day ride on February 20th to the 22nd.

The ride is donating all funds raised to the local families with children facing life-threatening illnesses with help from the Northern Lights Foundation.

This is the first Cody Buus invitational Courage Snowmobile Ride ever, and it started as an idea to honor the legacy of Cody Buus who passed away from a rare form of cancer.

Over the 9 months organizers have been working on this event, they have gotten around 70 riders registered and are working with 31 sponsors.

They want the ride to stay close knit, with a focus on raising local funding for local community.

“Our main focus has been the four locals,” said John Archer the Owner of CARS Complete Auto Repairs & Services. “That is local money from local people and local businesses for local recipients. I think it means a lot for the people who have gotten involved and donated or sponsored. This is a 100-mile circle and that’s where the money is going to stay. “
