A big day for a former leader at the 148th Fighter Wing.
Command Chief Master Sgt. Lisa Erikson is now the Command Senior Enlisted Leader, which is the most senior enlisted person in the Minnesota National Guard.
It’s the first time in the guard’s 166 year history that a member of the Air Force has held this position.
She will be an advisor to the Guard’s adjutant general, and serve as the senior representative for enlisted views and concerns.
During the ceremony, Erikson said she it was icing on top of the icing, and she’s blessed to have been selected.
“To the entire enlisted of the Minnesota National Guard, I have your back. Please know, I will work every day for you, and with you. I will not ask anything of you, that I’m not willing to do myself. I look forward to getting out and meeting more airmen and soldiers,” she said.
Erikson has held various duty assignments through her 34 years of service. She graduated from Esko.
