Community members help Cloquet Police ‘Stuff the Squad’

Cloquet Police host annual ‘Stuff the Squad’ toy drive

Community members filled several police vehicles with donated toys on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the Cloquet Police Department held its annual “Stuff the Squad” toy drive, partnering with the Fond du Lac Police Department and the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers were outside of the Cloquet Walmart and the Cloquet L&M Fleet Supply from 4-8 pm to collect toy donations, filling multiple squad cars.

“It’s really good to see everyone coming together to help the families, especially this time of the year,” said Officer Nils Hansen, the K-9 Handler for the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office. “It’s also just a good way for us to meet and have a positive interaction with our community members.”

The donations will go to the Salvation Army to be distributed to families in need this holiday season. If you missed the “Stuff the Squad” event and would like to donate, toys will be accepted at the Cloquet Police Department from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday.
