The bike rodeo made it’s return to Congdon Park Elementary, brining more kids in than ever before.
The event acts as a one stop shop for all things biking for kids. There were obstacle courses, free helmets, a raffle, and information to keep kids safe on the roads.
And with a lot of community assistance from organizations like Ski Hut, Spirit Mountain, Courage Kenny and more, youth biker had everything at their fingertips. They even had some lessons in their Phy Ed classes.

P.E. Teacher Brian Kallevig had a major part to play in setting up the rodeo. He says, “Over the last two weeks we have done a great deal of bike safety, because we received a grant from safe routes to school grant from the state of Minnesota. So we brought in a specialist from Phoenix, Arizona and he’s been helping teach this and get it started.”
