Congdon Walk to School Day

“Congdon Elementary expects up to 400 students & community leaders will walk to school Wednesday, February 8, to celebrate Walk to School Day. The event serves to highlight the importance of walking to school for building healthy communities while reducing traffic congestion and air pollution. It also underscores the need for the city & residents to work together to ensure sidewalks are clear of snow and obstructions. 

Starting at 7:15 AM, students who typically bus to school will be dropped off at Ordean East Middle School and walk down Hawthorne Rd. joining other walkers to cross with school patrol at E. Superior St. We expect 300-400 students, teachers, and community leaders will participate.
